Headteacher's Welcome It has been such a fantastic week in school this week! The weather has been so kind to us, meaning the children were able to enjoy their fabulous sports events. It was lovely to see the enjoyment and determination of the children in all the events. It was great to have so many parents and carers attending to support them all. |
Walk to school week - Well done everyone!
Thanks to our fabulous School Council who did a great job of being Road Safety Officers and rewarding children with stickers and book marks for walking or biking to school this week!

Clubs for Summer 2 are live via ParentPay
We have places left in the following clubs:-
Art, FabLab, French, Musical Theatre, Multi Sports and Yoga.
All clubs can be booked via ParentPay.
Please read the details of the clubs here. We don't issue refunds once a club has been booked. If your child has been doing Choir this half term they are already booked on as we are working towards our summer concert. |
Thank you to you and your families for supporting dress as you please and the cake sale today. The children had earnt a little treat after all their sports day efforts! We’ll let you know whether we beat our October cake sale total of £170 raised in the next Weekly News Page!!
We hope you have a lovely break and lots of fun during half term. If you do any Bank Holiday sale shopping, please remember that you can raise money for the school by signing up for the easyfundraising app.
If you’re short of a rainy day activity, please help us prepare for the Summer Fair by making up some treasure jars (see the Summer Fair letter sent on 9th May for more info). You can fill them with anything you think children would like to win – sweets, stickers, craft items, football cards, loom bands, small toys, lego, socks/gloves…. It’s always great if there is a mix of things included and, if possible, suitable for all ages and genders.
Our next PTA meeting will take place ahead of the Summer Fair on Tuesday 3 June, 19:45 at The Florentine. We’d love you to join us, especially if you are volunteering in the Summer Fair.
Thank you for your continued support! The PTA Team
If you have any questions, comments or want to get involved in the PTA, please message us at nethergreeninfantschoolpta@gmail.com.

Staff Change
We are sad to share the news that Miss Furniss will be leaving us on 6th June. She has been a fabulous member of our school team, working in the office alongside leading our After School Club and working at lunchtimes and in Breakfast Club. She is loved by the children and staff alike and we wish her all the best for the future. She is relocating to Lincolnshire where she has been busy renovating a house ready for the arrival of 2 puppies!

Active Homework
We would like to invite our children and their parents/carers to take part in a Half Term Holiday 'HealthySelfie' challenge! We would love the children to take a selfie photo to show an aspect of 'health and fitness' that they undertook during the holidays.
This could be anything from some fun physical activity, taking part in a sport, making a healthy snack or even something you have done to positively affect your mental health! We hope to show the children their photos in assembly once we are back at school. Please could you send your HealthySelfie photos to enquiries@nethergreen-inf.
