We have had a super week in school again. Despite the wet weather on Tuesday the Reception children had a wonderful day at the Butterfly House. They were full of excitement when they returned to school! Alongside the beautiful butterflies they enjoyed seeing lots of other animals, playing in the playground and, of course, the ever favourite bus journey and packed lunch!
The children had a fabulous time at the disco - they danced their socks off. It was so much fun! Huge thanks to the PTA for organising another fabulous event for our children to enjoy! |
Annual Parent Survey We will be sending out a link to our annual parent survey. Feedback from parents is a valuable tool in supporting our self-evaluation and school improvement process. Please look our for the email with the link. |

Wow! Our kids have some moves. It was so lovely to see them all having such fun at the disco last night. Thank you for your support.
NEXT THURSDAY 23rd MAY (last day of this half term!) is DRESS AS YOU PLEASE DAY - SPORTS THEME!
With the season for summer sports upon us and as we have sports days at school next week, we thought it might be fun for the kids to come in on their last day dressed up like their sporting hero or wearing their favourite sports kit. £1 in book bags please.
Then from after the break it's all about...
FRIDAY 21st JUNE - THE NGIS PTA SUMMER CARNIVAL! Please pop the dates in your diary for our biggest event of the year - always a brilliant afternoon of family fun! Straight after the break we'll be sending out more details, popping up the volunteer board and sending out raffle tickets. We already have loads of amazing prizes lined up (30+!) thanks to the generosity of parents and local businesses but there's still time to offer something up if you are able! Thank you so much. Please email nethergreeninfantschoolp

Notes from the Teachers Reception - Morning Drop Off Well done Reception children - you have been so grown up and brave coming in by yourselves in the mornings this week! September 2024 The summer term is always a busy one and we are already starting to look ahead to September. Teachers will soon be thinking about organising classes for September. We find it to be a really positive opportunity for the children to make new friends and build relationships with others in school. We don't ask parents to nominate friends for their new classes as we know that by this time in the year the teachers have a really good idea of how well the children work together and who they spend most of their social time with. We do though, invite parents to share any significant information that you would like us to take into consideration when organising classes. If you do have anything you would like us to know please email your child's class teacher. Reception Overview - Minibeasts The Weekly Newsletter is available on the school website by following this link: Reception Weekly Newsletter Messages for Teachers Just a quick reminder that you are more than welcome to speak to class teachers at the end of the day if you have quick questions. The class email is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk, etc |
