We have had a super week again in school! The children have had a lovely time exploring and playing in our new Sensory Garden. They have also had fun in the playground with a range of new activities taking place led by our Y2 'Little Leaders'. Year 1 & 2 had a super visit to Conisbrough Castle and despite the rather soggy and cold weather they all came back full of enthusiasm after their exciting day out.
On Thursday, Penguins class performed at the Octagon Centre as part of the School Sports Partnership annual Dance Festival. They were absolutely brilliant and we were all very, very proud of every one of them - WELL DONE PENGUINS! |

Firstly, thanks so much for all your support at the second hand uniform sale this morning. We don't have the capacity to repeat it after school this time but let us know if it would be useful to have another sale at the later time and we'll try and organise one soon. In the meantime, we continue to welcome any uniform donations (especially of good quality tops and cardigans) to the office.
THURSDAY 16TH MAY - SCHOOL DISCO
Per the letter shared last week, Sparky Marky is booked and ready to entertain. This event is open for all age groups and will take place from 5.30-6.30pm. Payment (£6) in advance via ParentPay.
FRIDAY 21ST JUNE - NGIS SUMMER FAYRE: CALL FOR RAFFLE PRIZES!
We're currently planning our biggest fun(draising) event of the year and we'd love to hear from anyone who has, or knows anyone who might have, something to donate as a prize for this year's raffle. It could be anything you think parents would love to win: a voucher, a hamper, a box of wine, some form of childcare!
Last year prizes included vouchers for beauty salons, physio sessions, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, florists, hairdressers, opticians, sporting events and kids camps. Plus there were craft beers, bottles of champagne, food hampers and premium water bottles up for grabs. There really was something for everyone and there were a LOT of happy winners. Notes from the Teachers Summer Term Curriculum Information Year 1 & Year 2 This term our topic is 'Once Upon a Time'. The children will be doing lots of exciting learning linked to the theme and to their trip to Conisbrough Castle next week.

Please take a few minutes to take note of dates including INSET and holiday dates, Parents' Evenings, Parent workshops to find out about learning in school and performances. Online Safety Parent Talk All Parents / carers are invited to an Online Safety talk next Friday 3rd May at 9:00am in the school hall. It will be led by a member of the NSPCC team and last about 45 mins - 1hr. |
