Headteacher's Welcome It's been a busy week which has included a trip to the Butterfly House for some of our children, a Razmatazz dance workshop, scooter sessions for the Y1s alongside lots of fabulous learning inside and out - the children have really been enjoying some sunshine in our fabulous outside areas!
Reception Teachers have talked to the children about coming into school themselves and saying goodbye to their grown ups at the gate - we have noticed lots of children starting to do this already - well done! It is really good preparation for Y1 for the children to be familiar and gain confidence in doing this whilst they are still in their current familiar class.

Just a reminder of the upcoming PTA events:
To celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday on Friday 8th May, the children will be learning about his incredible work and the natural world he has brought to life for so many. To mark the occasion, children are invited to come to school dressed as something from the natural world — an animal, bird, plant, flower or anything nature-inspired!
It’s not long until our School Disco which is on Thursday 14th May! It’s a fantastic opportunity for the children to spend time with friends, show off their best dance moves, and have lots of fun in a safe and familiar setting. Doors open at 5:30pm, with pick-up at 6:30pm. The cost is £6 per child.
We now need to get cracking with planning the 2026 Summer Fair which will take place on Friday 19th June! This year’s event will have a fun farm theme, with games including Feed the Pig, Splat the Rat and Guess the Name of the Scarecrow, alongside favourites like the bouncy castle and BBQ. As our biggest event of the year, we’ll need plenty of volunteers to help make it a success. If you’re able to lend a hand, please sign up as early as possible — your support will help us create a fun-filled and successful day for everyone! Notes about the calendar: 'Friendly Friday' - every 4th Friday that the children are in school parents will be invited into classrooms from when they open at 8:40am until when the bell rings at 8:55am.
