Weekly News Page

Friday 3rd May 2024

It has been great to enjoy a little sunshine this week - it finally feels like spring is here! It has been especially lovely to see the children enjoying the new Well Being Sensory Garden outside; staff have commented on how wonderful the area is, how much the children are engaged and how calming it is. Thank you so much to all who donated to the PTA to fund this and to all of the parents who were actively involved in designing and creating this fabulous space!

THANK YOU!!

This morning we welcomed a representative from the NSPCC who came to talk to parents about Online Safety. She provided a really useful update for parents and reinforced some of the key messages about how to keep your children safe online.

There is further information on the NSPCC website about risks and how to start having conversations about Online Safety with your children. You can also sign up to their Newsletter by following the link.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend! Lets hope the sunshine makes an appearance!

Parking!

We have received another letter from a local resident this week expressing their ongoing frustrations with parents and carers parking disrespectfully, blocking driveways and sadly being rude and aggressive when challenged. Please be respectful at all times to everyone in the community.

It is never ok to block driveways ....even if you will just be a few minutes!

Residents need access to their properties at all times.

FRIDAY 21ST JUNE - NGIS SUMMER FAYRE: CALL FOR RAFFLE PRIZES!
Please pop the date in your diaries for our big Summer Fair as we hope the longest day in the year will offer up lots of sunny fun for all the family!

We'd like to thank all those who have already donated a prize for our raffle - we are so appreciative. If anyone else has anything to offer up - or knows of anyone who might be willing to donate a prize - we'd love to hear from you.

Many of you will be aware of the funding challenges faced by schools and due to a number of circumstances this is a particular concern for our school. We were hugely grateful to all the donations that we received from parents earlier in the year and just wanted to let you know that the Wishlist is still live and we would be very grateful for any donations parents are able to make.

Thank you so much - these resources really will make a difference to our children.
