Headteacher's Welcome School Council and Active Travel Well done to our School Council who produced this fabulous poster this week which shares lots of their thoughts about Active Travel. They all agreed that Active Travel to school is good for our health and good for the planet too. Thanks to those families who made an extra effort to come to school in an active way for Active Travel Fortnight. We would really like everyone to try to come to school in an active way as often as possible - this is for the health, well being and safety of all our children! Thanks to everyone for supporting 'World Down Syndrome Awareness Day' by wearing odd socks to school on Thursday! We had an assembly on Monday where we talked about the 'Lots of Socks' campaign and the focus 'end the stereotypes'. We talked about what a stereotype is and the importance of not making assumptions, for example about what anyone can or cannot do or what they may like or dislike. You can find out more about the campaign here. Super Socks Koalas!! |
