Headteacher's Welcome We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day yesterday. The children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters and sharing their favourite books with their friends. They took part in book themed activities in their classrooms; the Y1 & Y2 children also visited other classrooms to listen to stories and make crafts linked to the stories. Children also teamed up for 'buddy reading' where they shared their favourite book with a child in another class. The day ended with a story accompanied by hot chocolate and a biscuit; the children had such a lovely time. Thank you so much for your support with costumes; there were some very creative creations! The children all looked fabulous - you can see more pictures on our Whole School Gallery.
All children will have brought home a book voucher which can either be exchanged for a special edition World Book Day book at participating bookshops or offer a £1 discount off any full priced book. |
