Headteacher's Welcome We have had a super week in school this week. The Y1 & Y2 children have enjoyed their Geography learning which has included a traffic survey. They have also produced some beautiful artwork which you can see below. There has been a hive of activity in Reception this week as the children have enjoyed all aspects of learning through the Story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
This morning we had a planned fire drill; the children were so sensible, leaving the building safely and following the instructions of the adults in school - well done everyone.

Driving Outside School!
Unfortunately staff and parents have witnessed some dangerous driving outside school again this week. It is very concerning that some parents are driving too fast, and sometimes erratically right outside school. Some have also been seen dropping their children on the road with engines running whilst their child crosses the road on their own.
Please remember the safety of children must always be the priority. Please remember to...

Notes from the Teachers Science Week 2024 - We need you! Every year we join in with National Science Week by spending a week focusing on many different aspects of Science. The children take part in experiments, investigations and we often have workshops in school too. In the past we have invited parents into school who have a particular interest in an area of Science or use Science in their workplace. We would like parents to come and share their Science knowledge with the children by visiting their child's class or in the past we have sometimes had parents who have come and led an assembly for more children. If you are able to support our Science week by coming into school then please get in touch with your child's class teacher. Year 1 & Year 2 This half term the topic is 'Brilliant Britain'. The children will be doing lots of exciting learning linked to the theme.
Foundation Stage The topic for this half term in Reception will be 'Once Upon a Time'. Reception Overview - Once Upon a Time The Weekly Newsletter is available on the school website by following this link: Reception Weekly Newsletter If you have any junk modelling items at home (cardboard boxes, tubes etc) it would be great if you could bring them into school for the Reception children to use.
Messages for Teachers Just a quick reminder that you are more than welcome to speak to class teachers at the end of the day if you have quick questions. The class email is the name of the class as follows e.g. bears@nethergreen-inf.sheffield.sch.uk, etc |
