Headteacher's Welcome

It has been another action packed week in school. The children in Year 1 and Year 2 have had a fabulous day today with their visit from the author and illustrator Bethan Woollvin. They have been enjoying reading a number of her books as part of their English work which are all alternative versions of traditional tales. This morning she read a story to all the children in an assembly and then worked with each class in Y1 and Y2 and talked about her life as an author and how she does her fabulous illustrations.

Retirement News

Mrs Keeling has made the very difficult decision to retire at the end of this school year. She has been a fabulous member of our teaching team for 25 years, teaching for the majority of her time in Reception. She will be hugely missed by children, parents and staff alike but she has definitely earned some time to herself after all her hard work and dedication to our school!

Mrs Doherty who currently teaches in Elephants class will be moving to Koalas and replacing Mrs Keeling as our Early Years Leader, over seeing Preschool and Reception classes.

Choir Information

Please continue to encourage your child to practise at home - there is only one more Thursday rehearsal to go and lots of words to learn!

Children's Commissioner Survey

We have been asked by Dame Rachel de Souza, Children’s Commissioner for England

to share this survey with you to comeplte with your child.

"I want to hear from children aged 0–18 from every background, in every part of the country, and your support will help make that possible. I’m asking children about the things they enjoy, the challenges they face, the changes they want to see in their communities, and what they think a good childhood should look like today."
