Headteacher's Welcome
The children have all settled back into school this week after what was an incredibly wet and windy half term! I hope you all manged some rest and family time together. The term has started well with children in Y1 and Y2 already enthused about their new learning about the Titanic within their topic of 'Brilliant Britain' and children in Reception are learning about 'People Who Help Us' - see links below to the curriculum information for parents. Look at our new display... Anna Stephenson has skilfully displayed the beautiful artwork that our KS1 children created following inspiration from her new published book 'The Outside is Inside'. The children enjoyed a workshop just before half term about the book and then created Sheffield buildings inspired by the illustration of the book. Look at this amazing picture of Sheffield - Well done Y1 and Y2...AMAZING! |

As part of the Relationships Education this half term children will be thinking about their emotions and what makes them feel and react in certain ways. Our topic this half term is ‘Health and Well-being’. The children will learn to understand the connection between our actions and the feelings of ourselves and others and discover how a choice of activities can affect our happiness. They will be learning to put these feelings into the 'Zones of Regulation'. The image above gives a very brief summary of the zones which you might find useful in discussions with your child about how they are feeling.
Learning this half term - Reception
The topic this half term is 'People Who Help us' - you find more details on the Foundation Stage Page.
