   Headteacher's Welcome

It has been another busy week in school. The Reception children are really enjoying their topic of 'Nocturnal Animals'.  We have had more night time visitors in our Woodland area and the children have enjoyed watching the recordings from our night time camera. You can see this by visiting our dedicated page:  Woodland Videos.

They have been reading the book 'Owl Babies', created some super artwork and also been writing about nocturnal animals. Super learning Reception - well done!!

This week has also been Road Safety Week. On Monday I did an assembly to talk to children about ways to stay safe when out and about. This was then continued in classes where some classes made Road Safety posters emphasising some of the key messages to keep safe. Click the image below to have a look at some of KS1's posters.

Community Messages

The Sheffield Christmas Shoebox Appeal is running this year and now more than ever they need the support of the Sheffield community. This fantastic project ensures that people who are lonely and homeless at Christmas get a gift. Despite restrictions the charity are working hard to ensure that this still happens this year.

Please see this link for further details of how you can support; thanks to Worrall Business Supplies for alerting us to this Project as they have kindly agreed to be a drop off point for shoeboxes. There are many other drop off points across Sheffield.

Please see details of dates, what to put in boxes

and where to drop them off HERE

                                                     PTA Update

Join in with our 'Festive Ted Trail'. Dress up your favourite Ted in something festive and place him in a window for other children to find using our 'Ted Trail Map'. See letter from the PTA for further details about how to get involved and bring some festive fun to our neighbourhood!

Covid Update

Sheffield Public Health have asked us to reinforce the following message:-

‘Class bubbles’ do not mean that children and young people can continue to meet up outside of school. Play dates and sleep overs with children from the same friendship groups or school classes should not be taking place. The bubbles in school are to support contact tracing and to minimise risk of virus transmission. Outside of school pupils should not be mixing. This follows the national restrictions that are currently in place.

Greg Fell, from Sheffield Public Health has published this video this week explaining the Covid situation in Sheffield.
